A Confession
I have a secret to tell you.
I hate myself.
I am a twenty-four year old adult who have been working for almost four years now.
It's not that old but I feel so old. You know what I mean?
If you know me, you know that I am not an open person. I am quiet, only observing my surroundings. I don't say much even in a familiar environment. I don't mingle with strangers. I am avoiding them. I hate small fake talk. I also don't talk too much about my life. I don't take photos of myself much. I also haven't been active on social media.
I am practically hiding myself from the world.
I also always try to be self-sufficient ever since I can remember. I know I can't rely on anyone else. I have been let down one too many times that I started not believing on anybody else anymore and started thinking that I can't depend on anyone other than myself.
I'd stopped taking care of myself. I'd stopped caring about other people. I lost interest on the things I enjoyed before. I haven't been able to gain weight even though I ate a lot. I had bouts of appetite loss. I developed anxiety problems and chronic stress. I always felt tired thus the need to sleep a lot but then, I have a hard time getting one once I'm on the bed due to flowing thoughts.
The signs were already there.
The hopelessness. The helplessness. The feeling of being abandoned. The feeling of being undervalued.
It's not easy dealing with depression. People can say all they want. But those people who experiences this are fighting a war with themselves.
And it's difficult.
This illness will eat you up alive once you let it run amok. It won't let you live your life on a radiant level. It will pull you down the abyss, just let you floating around there aimlessly.
The worst of it all, it robs you off of simply living your life.
Speaking from experience, I have let my depression shrouded my self-image and right now, I am walking a life of blankness.
I have been quite busy dealing with my dilemma of self-hate and hatred towards the world that I forget to start building myself.
To start creating the person I want to project to the world.
All this time, I've been holding myself back from everything. From people. From things. From experiences.
You know the consequences of these things?
I had no opportunity to grow up.
Yes, all those time spent on studying, I have learned a lot. It gave me knowledge but it didn't gave me wisdom.
It didn't provide me the tool to shape myself up. To mold myself. To uplift myself.
I was only crowding my little self on the corner of the room. Hiding my presence.
You see, continuously doing that had a cumulative effect.
Self hate to hate projection to being socially aloof to regrets of missed experiences to depression then more self hate and so on.
And, I will reiterate this again. Having depression doesn't make life easy and fighting it is not easier.
But, with all that, I know that it starts and ends with the mind.
And, you know what?
I am tired of being stuck.
I am tired of blaming the world.
I am tired of beating myself up for nothing.
I am tired of letting that have power over me.
Now, I want to take it back.
Now, I want to change the person I have become due to this mental illness I succumb myself into.
Now, I want to stop the cycle I have been so accustomed to that it already became my second skin, my reflex.
And right now, I want to start the growth I should have been focusing on to reach.
I believe that we can't solve a problem without accepting the fact that it is one.
The solution is easy: start accepting, start dealing with it and start taking responsibility of our own lives from now on so hopefully, we can start to live a fulfilling days ahead.
--
With this in mind, I am hoping that we can all extend our compassion and understanding to everybody because as cliche as this is, each of us are fighting our own battles.
And those two won't cost you a penny so give it out plenty.
---
Some words to leave:
At the end of the day, people will come and go and those who stay are those who are for keeps.
Wherever the road might lead you on, know that it will always have a reason. It might be a long bumpy road but do not ever forget to always enjoy the journey.
What people think about you doesn't matter. It's what you think about yourself that does.
What you want to say matters so don't be afraid to voice it out, as long as your intentions are good and valid.
And who you are matters. Period.
Claim it and let it shine.
---
One step forward is a progress. One misstep is a learned lesson. One step backward is always an opportunity for that another climb up. Always remember that.
---
Some words I found on Pinterest that resonates with me on a deep level that I'd like to share:
And, how true that is.

Thoughts
Our current situation with the disease that plagueing not only this country but the whole world has shaken all of us. It has been unnerving, which is an understatement. We are, at the most part, unprepared. This wasn't foreseen nor part of the plan.I know it's hard for our leaders. It's not easy to lead a country or people on normal days. How much more right now. There is a lot to consider. The economic and financial impact, for instance. And, the pandemic itself. How to stop the spread of the disease. Can they produce a vaccine or a cure as soon as they can. With all the ruckus people have been creating day by day, I'm sure I'll be at a loss myself.
I'm not an expert on this field. But given a thought to all that must be considered, I couldn't even fathom how can they. They are starting from scratch and are literally fighting an invisible enemy. How hard can that be, right?
This is also one of the things that I felt to be disturbing. Just so you know, I am not a pro or an anti. I am neither. But, what I couldn't take from all the things I have been reading online are those pure negative comments and slanders people are throwing without even knowing the depth of the situation. It is easy to criticize when you are from the outside. It is easy to point out the wrongs because there will always be one or two or more. Because, the sad truth is we're looking for the faults. It is highlighted in our eyes.
I appreciate those posts that has a constructive criticism on it much much better. The government is not perfect and I don't think people will have a perfect leader on their eyes, to be honest. There will always be lacking, I know. Just like with ourselves.
This just frustates me to no ends. I have been using social media these days less and only to update myself on the news, nothing anymore.
I have been pissed at the people on our government. I am. I actually don't believe in them. I see corruption and lies. Manipulation and abuse of power. There's always a question of authenticity at the back of my mind. However, generalizing them won't help you.
We should learn the facts and understand them. The whats and the hows of the disease, how the system works, how the government operates, the laws and other things. Be properly informed.
And, we should criticize constructively. I know people are using social media to be heard which is totally fine and our absolute right. But, I hope that our need and purpose to be heard is vital to the cause and will help us and the people around us.
Let's always go for a win-win situation and help as much as we can but with knowledge and heart.

Sunday Currently Volume 3
Hello there! I know it's been a while since my last post. The last few months had been hectic and eventful so I have a lot to tell but do not have the time to do so. If I am not out of the house for my only rest day, I was up and about, restless. Anyway, I would like to share my Sunday Currently instead. Just a bit and a quick update on my sedentary life. Here it is.
Reading
It's so sad that I wasn't able to accomplish my 2017 reading challenge which is to read 21 books. I decided to make it a goal to read as many books as my age. I also wanted to try to lessen reading on my phone because it wasn't healthy on the eyes. That is why, I will make it a ratio of 2 is to 1: two actual books to one e-book. Okay, so I just decided that just now as I wrote this, on a whim but I will stick on to it. I promise (haha). Anyway, I was currently on to November 9 by Colleen Hoover. I also have 2 books on hold: The Martian & An Abundance of Katherines. But I wouldn't babble about these books right now. I was still on the beginning of the book. So yea.
Writing
Writing this blog right now on a fast pace since it's already past nine. Earlier I was listing down things I should do today, you know, productive-wise, but I just played Kingdom of Amalur Reckoning all day. I was so engrossed by the flow of the game I was losing track of the time. I was supposed to start my night routine today which I would post some other time for accountability's sake because I am a hard-headed, lazy girl. I never learn.
Listening
Literally, I am currently listening to the sound of the fan because it was the loudest I am hearing right now besides on the intermittent flutter of the calendar beside me and the puttering of the keys while I am typing.
Thinking
I was thinking of a restart (yet again) of my 21-day challenge that I posted last year. Just so you know, I did the challenge and record my progress I just don't have the time right now to go on to the details and to tell whether or not I accomplished it. One of these days, I will. Probably.
Smelling
I couldn't smell anything right now.
Wearing
The clothes I had this morning. Still a mismatch of whatevers.
Feeling
Lost. I feel lost right now, to be honest.
Loving
Loving the new addition to our home, our white kitty. She's so cute and sweet!
That's all for my Sunday Currently. I hope to update more and to be able to really start with my things. Thank you! Bbye.

Sunday Currently Volume 2
It's been weeks since my last update and I even said I would try to post weekly (Huh!). To be honest, I was really trying to write for the past weeks. It's just that every time, I had this big wall of blankness. As in, nothing. I just stare at my blog willing myself to just start writing but nothing comes to mind or maybe nothing interesting to tell. But, today, I finally decided to just write my Sunday Currently and without further ado, here it is.
READING
Read
I have read two poetry books for the past week. They are The Princess Saves Herself On This One by Amanda Lovelace and The Universe of Us by Lang Leav.
A little teaser:
when
someone
offers to
save you
make it
your mission
to
save yourself.
- I believe in you
(The Princess Saves Herself On This One)
"The sad thing is," she said,
"the moment you start to miss someone,
it means they're already gone."
(The Universe Of Us)
Nothing like poetry gives me the chills. It has a way of giving you emotions. A page with a few words, meant a whole lot. It can pierce you. Break you. Make you back up again. It can open your eyes and it teaches you things.
And those two did give me a plethora of them and so much more.
Currently Reading
“I have a feeling that when I'm Stormy's age, these everyday moments will be what I remember: Peter's head bent, biting into a chocolate chip cookie; the sun coming through the cafeteria window, bouncing off his brown hair; him looking at me.”
So, I finally found the courage to start reading the last book of "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" Series. I have prolonged this moment because I wanted my last glimpse of Lara Jean and Peter's story to stay that way. This is the finale of the finale. And it breaks my heart knowing that.
I have nothing much to say yet since I am just at the beginning of the book. Jenny Han is such a great writer. She can give the most common occurrence in our lives so much color and life. How she can turn these little moments into something big and wonderful. I love both Lara Jean and Peter and every characters in the book. That's why it would kill me if they wouldn't end up together!! So, please Jenny Han, give me a good ending!

WRITING
Writing this blog for this week. Will really list those writing challenges so I can start with my weekly post. It would be a great thing for me to focus my mind outside work. Diversion is totally needed.
WATCHING
Given that I have a wonderful two days off, I had extended my usual bed time and I watched Before We Go. I was also delaying my time with this movie because I wanted to have the perfect time to watch it. However, like so many things in life, I guess, you can't really tell when will that be so when the time comes you just got to do it and go with the flow (note to self).
I was really going to bed early last night due to my intention of starting that morning run (again, with the weekly whatnots). But when Chris Evans' face was flashed on the screen I became glued to my sit.
It is a bittersweet story of two people who met at an inopportune time. On a closing train station. In the middle of the night. There is this man, grieving from a lost love years ago, waiting and hoping that a chance of getting back together will come. And a woman who's hurting from a broken love, conflicted and shattered by the thought of a possibility of an ending. In a span of hours, they crossed paths and experienced love, knowing it would end at the break of dawn. At the parting time.
An unexpected story of love. A story I will surely watch again!
LISTENING
Listening to several songs on Spotify. Too many to mention actually. But I am currently into What Lovers Do by Maroon 5 & SZA, Too Good In Goodbyes by Sam Smith, There For You by Troye Sivan & Martin Garrix, all Ed Sheeran's songs, Feels by Calvin Harris, Katy Perry etc.
I was listening on the playlist while writing and just feeling the music.
THINKING
It has been a bad habit of mine to not stop thinking. So, I do have, like, a lot on my mind at the moment. I really should start toning it down since it just bothers me and really just stresses the heck out of me. Also, I should start sorting it out and to not let it overwhelm me so that I will be able to mean what I really want to say.
That aside, I was thinking of starting a business. An online clothing business. Nothing concrete yet just things floating in my head right now. Hope I will really be able to put it into fruition.
SMELLING
Cannot move on with our dinner today. I was cooking dinner (huh) which happens rarely (I am not the chef of the family and not a very good cook) and the smell was so mouth-watering. It is nothing fancy really but it was one of my favorites. My tummy has been incessantly rumbling while I cook. Missed eating GG! If you're a Filipino, you would know what that is. Tummy was satisfied!
WISHING
I wish to start to live my life more.
Have the courage to just do it and leave out all the rest.
And I wish I could just stop worrying sometimes and to stop doubting myself so much.
WEARING
I am wearing house clothes. A mismatch pair of whatevers. Haha
FEELING
I was feeling... overwhelmed. Coz' tomorrow's the day of the week. Again.
CLICKING
Several tabs right now.
LOVING
How I started to have a progress with this! Will really challenge myself to start writing weekly.
NEEDING
A ME time. Just so I can finally feel like I am living my life. Got to finally start ticking one of my bucket list off.
That is all for my Sunday Currently Volume 2!! By the way, this is a weekly post from Siddathornton's blog. Click the link to see more. And...
a parting words:
“Never say no when you really want to say yes.”

What I have been up to lately
That being said, I would like to take a breather and break the monotony that is: my life, which is why I decided to re-live my blog again (Yehey!). Again. (Yes, for so many times, already). Also, this will serve as my accountability post for the weekly writing that I am planning to do (Hah!)
But first let me give you an update so far as to what I have been up to lately.
Last August 25, we had our team building x values with the theme: Ramp It Up! LIT AF. It was a 2 days one night event which is one of the highlights of the year for the company and one of the most awaited as well.
I wasn't able to take much photos since I was so engrossed by the place. It's been so long since I've been in a beach or see such a scenery or to see the outside world. I know, right.
The day went by so quickly. After our morning calisthenics, where we do some exercises to loosen us up and to give us energy, we went straight to what they call "values" where issues, concerns and the core values of the company was discussed openly. We were grouped together to discuss concerns about work so that we can come up with solutions. It was such a great activity for us since for a newbie it is good to see the sides of each department.
After our open forum, we went to fill our stomach. The weather that day is a bit gloomy. It rained for most of the day. Good thing, though, is that we did most of our activity indoors.
When lunch is up, we were able to tour the place for a bit and went to shoot some pictures of us inside because it's raining. Then, around 2pm, we were called in the session hall for our team building. After that, we were by ourselves for the rest of evening (that is before dinner and the last event of the day). All we did was enjoy our room and the view. I would have add the pictures of our room but it wasn't in the computer so maybe some other time.
I wasn't able to get a good shot of our socials night so there's nothing for that, sorry. But it was one of the highly anticipated events of our team building 'cause this is where we really loosen ourselves up. Okay, so the stiff me, had quite loosen herself up. So yea. Hard to say I dance my heart out there cause maybe I'm the only one thinking that but I do know that all those few drinks I intake and was given to me was shot straight out of my system: few minutes after we're about to hit the sack. Right, talk about alcohol tolerance which I only have, like, a little. It's only a few different kinds of drinks. Yeaa, gotta be tougher next time.
Forgive the awkward pose, that pic doesn't quite happen often.
All in all, it was such a wonderful experience with a great bunch of people. Next time I will enjoy it to the fullest (and not sleep all morning -meh-)
So, this is it for my lately's.
Bbye.
Love, Nix

Saturday Feels
Of all the days, I feel so sluggish and out of it today. Of all days, really. It has been such a long time since I was able to be home from work so early that I can still feel the heat still hitting my flesh and see my favorite shade of blue paste up in the sky so beautifully. For so long, the night welcomed me. It has been my company going home with music in my ears, hoping to soothe my mind.
The past six months have been a blur. I was only going through day by day, most of the time, wishing the day to finally end and the weekend to finally come. It has been my sentiments every week. I know I shouldn't feel this way. I know I shouldn't think this way. It's not going to help me at all. It's not going to make my life or work easy.
I feel so frustrated. I felt like I have been passed back and forth like a tennis ball and I know that if I keep going on like this, I will stretch myself thin that I would break. And today, I feel like I am on the verge of breaking.
The thing is I have been working for six months and I felt like I'm getting nowhere. I'm not even moving forward. I am stuck. I can't help but to hate the fact that everything I'd done for the past six months meant nothing. Not to everyone I care about and to the people I served. Not even to myself.
All I want now is to take a rest and hope that when I wake up I finally had a solution or more like to have the courage to finally do what I am supposed to do. Knock my head, please. I need a really hard one.

The Sunday Currently Volume 1
Hi there! I'm unofficially back again into writing. Unofficially -
being the operative word there given that I am still not sure what to do
with my blog. Too much on my mind right now. Too much inaction, I might
add. So, for now, I would want to give it another go and just see where it will lead me. Anyway, here's my
Sunday Currently Volume 1.
Reading
I
am currently reading two books: 1 e-book and 1 paperback book. The
reason behind the overlapping of books there is that I just can't stop
myself from reading anywhere. I don't have an actual book with me all
the time so for an uncontrollable bookworm itch that I couldn't scratch
away, I have a lot of e-books with me. The first one is Wasted Words by Staci Heart and the latter is a book of Bram Stoker - Dracula.
I should probably write about my current thoughts about these books on a
separate post 'cause if not this will be longer than necessary. By the way, I just visit the site of Goodreads (I'm
always using the app version) and I absolutely love its new layout!!
Also, I want to share that I already completed my 20 Books in 2016
Reading Challenge, so I added another 5. Okay, I'll stop being annoying
already...
Writing
Nothing
interesting really. This is my first time in such a long time when it
comes to writing. If you can consider writing random notes, goals and
motivational words in the back pages of a notebook, then maybe I can
write it down here. Probably elaborate those goals next time. When
clarity finally meets me. And with firm resolution to boot. Yes, I probably
will.
Listening
To
the current soundtrack on our house. It has been on a daily basis,
those beautiful songs playing on continuously. The music of Christopher
Cross, Bread, Kenny Rogers, Bee Gees and Air Supply. Also, the songs of
Shania Twain and Michael Buble. And should I forget the latest songs on
Youtube Mix, that is a lot to enumerate right now and the children songs
on loop. I'll be able to sing their lyrics on the coming days. Not that
I'm complaining. I love them!!
Thinking
Can
we please not go here? In thinking? Seriously.. I'll be on it forever. This is actually why I started writing this post. 'Cause I want to
release some off of my brain. It is currently congested really. So, I'll
be unloading them one day at a time. The motto that I try to currently live by. One day at a time.
Smelling
Honestly,
I can't smell anything right now because of my congested nasal
passageways. I just love the word right. Maybe, I should start "one word a day", as well. To kick-start my love of word and writing.
Wishing
I
have many on my bucket right now, but if it's only one wish then I am
wishing for a fruitful year. I know.. too general... It's already
Ber-months and my birth month too. I will be 21 in less than two weeks
so I hope for things to go great if not superbly amazing.
Wearing
My usual attire: comfy shirt and leggings. It's currently 2 in the morning and yes, I am still sort of wide awake and writing.
Loving
The
new addition to our family! It is his first month in this world and I
just love this little but overly cute boy! Always want to carry him and
couldn't stop staring. Loving to have my own someday. Someday!
Needing
A sleep! I will finish this as soon as I can so I could get a sleep. I know.. waking up early is not my thing.
Feeling
I felt light! Would really love to continue this. Unloading is almost done!
Clicking
Inspirational blogs and various sites. But, I would like to mention Siddathornton's blog. Join her link-up here (SUNDAY CURRENTLY). By the way, I'd first seen the link-up through Maine Mendoza's blog. I was perusing her blog, reading how good of a writer she is. Lovely blog and blogger!

New Found Love
There are things that we are afraid to embrace and things which we thought of as scary but, unexpectedly, it was something beautiful.Perhaps, it is still too early to say. I am just halfway through the first month on my new school. It's been hard getting in here but I feel that it's going to be worth it.
Rashly deciding to transfer school was what I'd done. I was reading a book and it made me realize things. But leaving my second home wasn't that easy especially that last day I stepped on that school; that time when one of my professor asked me if I already enrolled, I cried. It hurts to leave home. I have reasons and I think about them hard. It seems so selfish, rash, and crazy but I just think that if things get rough on my new school or if I can't handle the stress, the load, the people, then, I can't do anything.
Since living far away from home, many things had changed. I did things on my own, my laundry, I budget my money for food, and living with other people, I came to adjust, adapt and loosen up. Also, I feel so free.
The first day of school, I feel like a kid walking through the throng of students, feeling this heavy weight of anxiety and asking myself, "What am I going to do?", "How am I supposed to overcome this?" and telling myself that "I can't do this."
Days had passed, I met people. I got to know them. I was, almost at it, used to the new environment. I am actually loving it; The walk from school, that small two-way road with no sidewalk that I love to trudge on. Inside the school, the buildings, the place itself and the library. How can I not fall in love with this?
There was this one time when I stayed at the library late in the afternoon, reading books while catching up with my friends at my old school. I was so happy to know that they missed me. I thought they would forget about me. By around 5:30 pm, I was done with the reading and decided to go out. The place was almost vacated with few students roaming around. The sunlight at the time shone just right. The sky is at its perfect hue and the clouds, at their perfect forms.
It was beautiful. It is such a lovely afternoon. I can't help but smile. I want to capture that moment and that place, to preserve what I see. However, I wasn't able to.
But my destination was to the open grounds. I was about to meet my friend and go home together. The place had a number of students on it. Some were jogging while others were training. My spot was just right for me to witness a more magnificent view. Even though, there were quite a number of students, it was still peaceful. I really can't explain well what I saw and felt that day but it was so vivid in my mind and heart.
All I know is that I'm falling head over heels in love with this place. :)

That Nagging Feeling
I wasn't able to continue with the 100 Happy Days Challenge that I joined (I deleted my previous posts already). It's kind of difficult to keep up especially without a constant camera in hand that would take that happy moment for the day. Better yet, if it's just a blog post. But, anyway, no pressure, right? You can't be truly happy if you do things rather obligingly like you're just compelled to. That's not happiness, it's an obligation. As much as I'd like to push myself, I don't like to worn myself out fulfilling many things at a time.
I'm saying this because of another reason though. I'm starting to worry about my lack of enthusiasm at things. I mean, at the things that I love or enjoy doing. It's summer vacation and I have all the time to do what I've been holding off since I'm busy worrying about school stuffs. That's me, I guess. My mind never went to sleep without worrying. On everything. What an unhealthy habit.
I'm jaded for the most part of the month. I didn't enjoy reading that much anymore. I wasn't that thrilled to watch anime that I long to watch before and manga that I've always wanted to read. Whenever I'm playing games - Kingdom of Amalur Reckoning or Hay Day - I did so, rather mechanically. I'm not enjoying it one bit. It's like I'm doing it just to pass time.
I don't know what my problem is. But, this has to stop.
My sleeping habit has gone worse this vacation, as well.
One of the things that made me awake at night is that the decision of whether or not I'm going to transfer school. I actually declared at home and to my group of friends that I'm transferring, and that it's settled. But, the thought of leaving them behind makes me so sad. For two years, I'd been with them. I already know a lot of students and professors, vice versa. It feels like home to me... Like when I was in high school. The thought of not seeing them again (Ok, I was being dramatic there). The thought of not being in the same environment as them hurts me. I'll be able to visit them weekly if I wanted to but there is this nagging fear that everything wouldn't be the same then. It hurts me more. They're like a second family to me. I love them... in my annoyingly silent awkward way.

Carpe Diem
As the end begun,
beginning comes forth, as well.
It was such a delight.
But, like everything, it has to end
A new start in our doorstep
Seize it the best we can
- by me
. . . . .
I don't know if that could pass as a poem, though. But it sums up what I feel. Yesterday, I woke up late, just like I did for the past weeks. It was the last day of the year and I spent twelve hours of it on nothing. Just like every time, my mind was replaying things and along with that, making me see what happened, what I did, what I had become, oh..the list goes on.
In retrospect, the year 2013 had been good. My father got a stable job. Some things happened in-between but it was resolved. I got to my second year in college with good grades. My new classmates had been nice although, not-so friendly at first. There are a lot of embarrassing moments I want to erase on my memory yet there are also wonderful ones to cherish forever. Friends come and go. Yet, I am still standing.
There had been changes, as well. Spontaneous one. It is a good one, nevertheless. Procrastination and indifference, however, went to worse at the later part of the year. I'm always like that. Although, this time, it hadn't been so good. I was frequently late, didn't care about my grades (I'd flunk one of my exams), didn't study well and had no care in the world. I don't like how uncaring I had been this second semester. I even wanted to drop out of school. Good thing, I didn't.
That is why, with the clean-slate days ahead of me, I want to seize every bit of it. I want to better myself.
. . . . .
Happy New Year to us all!
I hope that this year will be better than the last.
And with a new beginning in front of us,
I hope that we use it wisely.
Time is such a precious gift.
We should make the most out of it.
P.S. I wrote it at four in the morning, so forgive me with some typos and some nonsensical/incoherent details.
P.S.S. The bottom line is Happy New Year!

Small Things Still Matters
Today is the last day of the month. I am trying to write something for weeks but I am not motivated to put anything down. Just this one, for those twenty days, I think, something has changed. That something will come later, I will first share these moments.
First Week: As always, I've been dreading the first day of anything. Particularly this, at the time. I have to be on school by 7 am but my mind wasn't ready yet and so my body followed suit, moving like my feet weighed thrice my size. I was actually waiting for a text message to arrive about what section I am this semester, because, it's a long story, but to make it short, I enrolled myself late and I'm afraid I won't be able to be with my friends. Funny to think that, for I am some kind of a loner. But, I think, that's normal. Nobody really wants to be alone. Moving on... Nothing came. No messages nor group messages, no calls, anything. So, I'm on my way. Then, as I was waiting, a call came. My friend said the schedule was already posted but there's still no list of students. And I think, right on time. xD
My school was only a minutes away from home. When I arrived there's a lot of students in the school ground, still not settled for their respective rooms. Minutes later, there it was. Tall, inviting, and a crowd-gatherer. We saw what section we were and what schedule awaited us. I tell you, NOT SO GOOD :/From 7 am to 6 pm for that day with only a 30-minute break. So that's at least 10 1/2 hours a day. Our only break was to eat lunch and we have to eat fast. Good thing, it's the first day, there was a light load, just introductions and informal meetings with each professors. By the time, I was home though, I was dead tired and so pressured for the upcoming days. Couldn't imagine it. The first week, fortunately, ended well.
Second Week: The actual start of the class happened the second week and with this, the load I'm feeling grows by several notches. Not to mention, the expectations that should be met. Expectations just lead to disappointments. Everyone should accept it already. But still, whether, they do or don't, expectation still lingers in the air around us, at least, inside the class. Also, comparison is such a headache. Nobody said it outright but its presence felt and enveloped us, measuring our performances. Poor me, for being me.
Third Week: By this week, I was already used to the environment of the semester. My classmates, professors and the subjects. It's actually okay, with all the reporting and other suffocating tasks to be done. I prove it myself, that to overcome your fears, you must face it. I am such a scaredy-cat whenever in front of a crowd, with all the attention focus on me. It makes my knees wobbly and my mind blank. Last semester was the worst example of that. No need reliving it. IT WAS TOTALLY DEPRESSING. However, with the current things, I could say that I slightly overcome that particular fear and was able to do better.

As I'd mentioned earlier, something has changed. Although, it was such a quick one without me even noticing it, I'm really grateful and proud of myself. How little that might be for someone. How inconsequential and laughable that might be. Still, I'm so happy for that. For years, I had that fear with me. Now, I am finally able to grow and finally able to see another light that is there all along, it's just that I was blinded by things such as pessimism and insecurities. Even though, it's just a tiny little step I had made, I am now a step ahead than where I was before. And that is a progress in itself. A start of growing more and more each day.
I want to share this link: Once You Eliminate Fear, Anything Is Possible

Hiatus has been switched off
Long time no see.
I haven’t been
here for quite a while and haven’t had the enthusiasm to even write something on
my special day last month. With that gone and happened already, “let bygones be
bygones”, which leads me to think of my overstuffed list of updates to mention
on later posts. But, that’s for later.
Today was the last day of the semester and it whirred so
fast and nonchalant in front of me that I didn’t feel it. It seems like a
normal day to which I would describe the whole semester. Fast. Nonchalant.
Normal. It feels like one minute you’re walking on a pavement and you catch a
glimpse of a passing car and the next, you get back to walking, and didn’t give
it a second glance. No recognition. No something. It’s not like my classmates
and the months that I’d been with them are terrible. It’s just that the whole
experience didn't give me something to remember. Perhaps, it’s because we’re
kind of closed off with each other, given that we'd come from different sections. Most of my relationships to my classmates stayed
out of the box, just being classmates. We only shared the same rooms and
schedule. But the good thing is that I have new friends or new
acquaintances that I could call. And that's something. For me, anyway.
All those moments for the past few months leads to this... the last day of the semester. I'm glad that we'd been given almost a month of vacation, unlike last year, and I'm already catching up with the things I put on hold and that's because of self-inflicted stress and excessive procrastination. I just couldn't concentrate on many things at a time so I need to sort my priorities and focus intently on one. If it's about school, it's about it. But now that it's already vacation, I have all that stashed away for a month!
How to have a good day? Try doing these...
And I would leave this quotation...
"Once you've made your decision, don't look back. Make it work."

My Superficial Sentiments
I came back to a place where familiar memories flooded to me like it was only yesterday. Do I make sense? Does it matter? I don't even know what I'm thinking or feeling right now. All I know is that I have this realization of many things. Things, like for one thing, bothered me before. Things like I couldn't do or catch up on even if I give it my all. Things like I didn't pay attention to and had forgotten over the years. And those things that matter most. Do I make sense? Forgive the nonsense crap I'm giving...

For starters, I would like to introduce to you a great work by Juria, Efflorescence. Just read it. You should experience it first hand.
It's still an on-going meaning written work published on textnovel. A website of where you can find phone novels. Each chapters are pretty short compared to the hardback covers we usually find. Text novel lets you enjoy a different world at your own small device.
Way back before, when I was still on my last year of high school, my friend introduced me to this site. We both write intermittently. I was not a writer. Not a good one. So I was mostly changing things up. I had my story published there too and it ended up unfinished. Hihi
If I didn't make any sense, forgive me. Actually, the bottomline of this post is that amazing story up there. If you can't see it, just ask. If you find it, read it and you'll know.

Way Back To The Old Days
The semester's finally over... and you know what? I don't know what to feel about it and to think that I'd wanted this so badly before.
Here's the thing, I miss school, the routines, the activities, the civilization (if you know me, you know why) and him. Forget about that. I also miss having people around me even though it's kind of annoys me at the same time. Blame it on the noise, I guess. I'm not really used with too much commotion. My cortisol levels spiked high whenever one arises.
Then, months before, I missed having time to watch anime and movies, read manga and a lot of books.
Then, months before, I missed having time to watch anime and movies, read manga and a lot of books.
Now, I have a lot of time just to do that and a little to do the other. Well, it can't be helped.
Anyway, I have this good news for myself! My long waiting is over because... THE HOST is finally on theaters!!! Whether I feel good about it or not, I am still excited on seeing it, at last. My hopes are somewhere in the middle. I don't want to expect much or little of it. Just the right amount of hope. IAN O'SHEA! Finally, we will meet!
"In so many millennia, the humans never did figure love out. How much is physical, how much in the mind? How much accident and how much fate? Why did perfect matches crumble and impossible couples thrive? I don't know the answers any better than they did. Love simply is where it is."
***
Speaking of movies, I recently watched a local movie, "Way Back Home" which I'd already seen before and only now did I fully watched it. It's about a girl who got separated from her family when she was young, and living and believing that her current life was her life. When she was finally found, she begun to live the life she was supposed to live at the first place. Her big sister kept her coming back a difficult one. Until she confronted her, and all became well eventually. To make it short, it's a great movie. A family-oriented one that will make us realize how important our family is and why we should treasure them and love them unconditionally.
It's already 2 am in the morning. I have to go and rest. Night!
Oops.. I forgot about the first anniversary of my reborn blog >.<
It's last March 27 the same date from the last day of the semester.

Sukitte Ii Na Yo
It's me again!
Exam week is almost over. Two more days and subjects to go. But on Friday, we will going to have an event in the park near our place. Sort of like a celebration or something, I heard and they vaguely mentioned earlier that we will be televised or something. We had practice earlier and it was really tiring but it sure takes the stress away, even though just temporarily. We did some aerobics routine and we're like a flash mob. It's so cute!!! We also did dance on some popular songs. Anyway, it's been really a good feeling having your body move especially with an energizing music on the background.
Time check: 2:55 am
Lots of improvement really... *sarcasm*
Blame it to the photo below....
I randomly select to watch this anime tonight and I didn't regret it! I actually read it before in manga almost a year ago and I love it. This time, with it being animated, it was really moving and nice. The songs are great too. Though, it was somehow sad. But the animation is so good.
I still have an exam and practice tomorrow so I should sleep already but blame you, Sukitte Iinayo!
Will sleep after this. Night!

Stress Less
It's nice to be typing away my thoughts again after these past weeks. I don't even know why I was writing a post right now. I should be past asleep. Midterm examination week is still ongoing. I'm in the second day so that means, three more to go.
About this stress less thing. It is my first task or goal or mission or whatever it is called, for the year. In January, or before it ends, I should deal with my main predicament.
While thinking of things, which I do so often that it was half of the things I do every day, I realized that this matter should be put into consideration. While spacing out/wondering/daydreaming is a great part of my day, stress is also there. Lurking behind my mind, ready to ruin my day.
When I am stressed, I become moody. When I am moody, I do things that I don't like. One thing is, snapping. I hate it when my patience is at its limit because after I lashed out, I will feel bad for doing so. Then, that would be all I could think about until I reach to the point where I hate everything about myself. The endless cycle of self-hate resumes.
But that's the thing about me and I want to change it. Plus, I've been reading articles about health and being stressed won't absolutely do you any good. It will just lead to depression.
They said that the equation is simple
Life - Stress = Happiness
That sounds so ideal. Life without stress doesn't exactly mean you'll be happy. But it takes time and patience and effort. Again, one step at a time.
By the way, I have created a private diary blog where I write my every day life. Very personal and open, I like it... No need to think of what will readers say to my post or be conscious. I just let my thoughts to flow freely, heedless of anyone but me.

Advance Happy New Year!
Updates. Updates. Updates. Again.
Since it has been a long time, I have this long list of updates to write down.
In my last post, I mentioned about The Hunger Games being in my currently-reading shelf. Well, this past couple of weeks, I'd not only read it but also the two sequels of the novel. Yes! I finished The Hunger Games Trilogy! And it is awesome, wonderful, amazing, and sad to add but totally true, it's heart-wrenching. I could feel the pain so much you'd think I am in Panem, experiencing and witnessing it first hand. It really feels like that.
My most favorite of all will be the Catching Fire, the second book of the trilogy. I just finished re-reading it yesterday and the feeling is still the same, even though it's already the second time.
Next is, The Root Cellar by Janet Lunn. Then, This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen, which is the first book I'd read among her books. This is the second time. And, Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, as the latest of all I'd finished.
For manga, I'd started reading Pandora Hearts, Strawberry Panic, and starting reliving again, Bokura wa Itsumo, Akagami no Shirayukihime, and Ao Haru Ride.
And for anime, I finished InuxBoku Secret Service, and I love both Watanuki and Karuta so much. They're so cute!!!
I am still in episode 9 of Kimi to Boku and my latest finished anime is D.Gray Man!!! I absolutely, truly, and forever love this series. Wow. I couldn't believe it take me so long to finish it. Actually, I don't want it to end, I hope there's still more episodes to come. But as I know, it still doesn't have one, so I started to continue my journey with it in manga. Right now, I was reading it and loving it!
My favorites of them all are Lavi, Yuu Kanda and Allen Walker.
I want to keep this post short, so I will say my good byes and I hope we all have a great year ahead!
Advance HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

The Looming End Of My Semester Break
Firstly, I want to greet my grandfather, Lolo Toto in heaven a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And a Happy All Saints Day to everyone!
*Updates. Updates. Updates
It
has been two weeks since I had been freed from the overwhelming but
exciting first semester of my college. I shouldn't used the word freed,
though. It sounds like I didn't like it much.
I
can properly conclude now that, even though I had been into so stressed these past five months, it had been a great
experience after my long absence in the social universe.
As
I mentioned earlier, it is my semester break and I've been enjoying it,
partly excited for the upcoming semester and partly wanting this
three-week vacation to be longer. The reason is I had been occupied by
university works that I haven't had time to fulfill my desires. That is,
to read in a pleasurable pace, to watch anime without anxiety of
tomorrow's load-works and to wake up whenever I wanted to.
Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer . P.S. by Helen Schulman . The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I started reading Eclipse
right after my last day of finals. I was still recovering from a fever
back then. I'm glad I had the energy that time to take the test.
Hopefully, though, I had put whatever I reviewed on the paper correctly.
Truth be told, this is the first book of Twilight series
that I finished. But I read several parts of the first book. So maybe, I
was not in the position to judge the series. But still, I will declare
my thoughts about it.
First, I came to hate Bella. No, not hate, just annoyed. I'd been irritated by her ambivalent sentiments. It's mostly about her ignorance about her feelings for Jacob. I mean, how can she not know? Ohh. I don't want to rant about it. All this time I was ignoring Edward, I am on Jacob's side you see, and while reading the book I realize that Edward is okay. I mean, he's admirable at some points in the novel. But, Jacob did shine on this book. My love for him surges more and more brighter! So yes, I'm still on Team Jacob.

. . .
P.S. by Helen Schulman.
The story behind the book, hardback book, and I is this: I was going
home from school and decided to stroll inside the mall. There's a store that sells few books so
I always check it hoping to find a good catch. Luckily, on that day,
the novels were right in front of the store and I rummaged through it,
seeking for that glimmering book. You know what? I ended up buying two
novels, the one by Helen Schulman and a novel by Emma Sweeney. It's
really cute. I was mentally squealing as I bought those two. I eagerly
wanted to read it as soon as I got home but stopped myself. I should
save it for later.
So,
end of story. I have the book and read it. Sadly, my admiration for it
had sunk low. It's not actually that bad, I came to love it as I reached
the end. The prose is great. The setting of the mood, tone and wit of
the novel is very skillful. I hope I am as great as she. But the
downside of the novel, for me, is the story. There's nothing on it that
affects me. Most of the time, I was appalled by the unnecessary stuffs
that was in print. The aggravation I felt after the end was ten-fold.
I don't like the story but the prose is amazing.

I really wanted to read The Hunger Games.
It has a movie adaptation but I prefer to read it first. I have nothing
much to say to it because I was only starting my journey on reading it.
I
had only been in almost two chapters but I am already caught by it. The
story is great. Sadness and bewilderment are what I felt. I am devastated to think of the situation the characters were in. I am awed for what
might happen and I am amazed on how it's adeptly written. The prose is
so good that if I would describe it in terms of taste, it would be
bittersweet. Sweet for the beautiful prose, because while I was reading
it aloud, which I do most of the time, it tasted like a sumptuous meal.
It's hard to explain but with my love for words, I can't help but admire
them. It's weird and confusing. I'm not really that good at expressing
my thoughts in a well-defined sentences using the exact words. That's
why I really look up to those people who do. And bitter, for the
characters' situation, because whenever I read a book I tend to place
myself in the dimension the novel was in, I think everyone of us do, to
experience it personally.
It's still on my "currently reading" shelf at Goodreads so I still can't give my full verdict for the book. But I feel it, this is a great one.

Here's Gosick
for you. It is the anime series that I finished in my break. The rest
of my "currently-watching" line-up are D-gray man, A-channel, Kimi to
Boku and SNS Final. I will all put them on hold. I wouldn't be able to
see them for a while, though.I'd been sidetracked.
I'm almost on the end of the tunnel which is my semester break. I sense a great stress ahead. Too pessimistic, I know. I should really put an end to that kind of thinking...and might as well, put an end on this long post already. I'm sure you're already fed up with me.
Thanks for reading!

One Of Those Days
What was it like being aware that the time run faster than you realize it to be?
I felt pressured, like there's a heavy-laden load I didn't notice on top of me. Things felt so fast. Last month, I was just blowing the candles in my cake, and now, our semester break is already halfway through, finals was over and it's already the 21st of October.
Still, time is disregarding everything. She still goes on her way. Oblivious to me, ranting here. Maybe, I should get to what I really want to say...
Actually, this very charming, talented, good-looking guy below, celebrated his birthday last October 17. May this day and the years to come give you so much love and life. Happiest Birthday!
. . . . . . .
IdolM@ster has finally concluded! While my final week on school dragged on, the first two weeks of October, surprisingly, I'd gotten a spare time to finish this amazing anime series. The songs are so great. I love most of the episodes and all the characters are hard not to love. The last few episodes are the most intense for me. I stopped myself hard from crying at the end. It is really a good watch. I hope you include the series to your watch-list. You won't regret it!
***
I was also done reading The Winner Stands Alone by Paulo Coelho,
Updates for anime, I was watching Gosick. For books, I was reading Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer and I put Hard Times by Charles Dickens on hold for a while. I still can't settle my mind on it now, that's why it's on hold. There's also a small-cabinet of books that I am going to read. My collection! So, I don't notice how much books I already accumulate just this year!

By the way, I got sick for over a week already. It was hard, my head aches and I can't breathe well, nor can smell. I'm partly disabled. I learned from my mistakes... and wouldn't abuse myself anymore. I got a fever, a cold and a lungful of phlegm. I hope I would get better... soon.
There are lots of things that I didn't notice today, likewise with how long this post is. I will cease this ramblings and will say goodbye.
